    Hypervascular liver lesion

    Aquilion ONE / PRISM Edition

This patient presented to the hospital for a pre-transplant assessment. A spectral arterial scan was performed with an iodine contrast injection of 100ml of 270 mgI/ml, a contrast reduction of 32.5% relative to the site's single energy protocol.

Reducing the contrast load to the patient is made possible by the reliance on low keV energy to enhance the iodine conspicuity. The hypervascular lesion can be better defined on the low keV image and further visualized on the iodine map and Effective Z image.

    Kidney tumor

    Aquilion ONE / PRISM Edition

An elderly patient presented to the hospital for an assessment of a right renal tumor before a possible partial nephrectomy. A spectral CT scan was performed. Spectral DLR using both qualitative and quantitative methods can confidently differentiate the enhancing lesion from the non-enhancing lesion.
The blue ROI is placed in the enhancing lesion with an iodine concentration of 2.50 mg/ml where curve shows increased enhancement at low keV. The yellow ROI is placed in the non-enhancing lesion and the spectral curve shows little to no change in attenuation values across the keV spectrum.

Aorta CTA with reduced contrast dose

    Aquilion ONE / PRISM Edition

An elderly patient presented to the hospital for a routine follow-up CT after placement of an endoluminal stent graft. The patient has a medical history of decreased glomerular filtration rate (GFR).
To minimize the amount of iodinated contrast administered a spectral CT scan was performed. Utilizing the low keV range of spectral energy to increase iodine conspicuity allowed a 32.5% reduction of iodine load compared to the single energy equivalent.

    Spectral with metal artifact reduction

    Aquilion ONE / PRISM Edition

Deep Learning Spectral CT can combine metal artifact reduction with spectral energy. Metal artifact reduction with high keV imaging is especially useful for reducing artifacts from small complex metal structures in the body for better soft tissue evaluation.

    Kidney Stone Analysis

    Aquilion ONE / PRISM Edition

Deep Learning volumetric Spectral CT enables a fast, quantitative assessment to evaluate the composition of renal stones.

The composition of kidney stones is represented both graphically and as color overlay on 2D images using Vitrea Advanced Visualization.
