At Canon Medical, we believe that every patient should be able to receive the potentially life-saving CT scans they need without compromising their health and wellbeing. To that end, we have spent years researching and developing new solutions that, in line with the ALARA principle, reduce dose and improve image quality for increased confidence with every scan.

Integrated Intelligence

Advanced intelligent Clear-IQ Engine (AiCE)

AiCE uses powerful deep learning technology to match the spatial resolution and low-noise properties of advanced model-based iterative reconstructions to produce high-quality, low-dose images at speed.

Better IQ. Lower dose.

"On our Aquilion ONE / GENESIS Edition a new Deep Learning Reconstruction, named AiCE, was recently installed. Compared to our previous reconstructions we noticed significantly improved IQ with AiCE. The clinical images have less noise and are sharper, we noticed an increase of ~25% SNR and CNR. Moreover the dose decreased by ~20% for body imaging and ~40% for cardiac examinations."

A legacy of innovation

For more than 25 years, we have facilitated a steady decline in radiation dose with the launch of pioneering products that make CT more reliable for everyone.

Personalized dose management

Adaptive Iterative Dose Reduction 3D (AIDR 3D)

This iterative algorithm has been designed to lower radiation dose, maximize image quality, and accelerate your workflow by analyzing and processing image data repeatedly to reduce noise.

A better way to work

FIRST Integrated

Designed to fit seamlessly into your workflow, FIRST Integrated is a powerful approach to model-based iterative reconstruction that can reduce dose by up to 85.3%*, while improving high-contrast spatial resolution by 129%*^.

*As compared to TSX-301C FBP.

A better balance between image quality and dose

PUREViSION Optics

PUREViSION Optics takes routine CT imaging to a new level of detail and low contrast detectability with an optimized beam spectrum and detector that reduces dose by up to 31%*.

*A non-prewhitening model observer study was conducted comparing Aquilion ONE / GENESIS Edition to Aquilion ONE. Maximum dose reduction values were established by comparing low contrast detectability under baseline conditions for abdominal and brain examination based on the detectability index performance metric, a measure of signal to noise that takes into account the magnitude and texture of both the signal and the noise for a given LCD task.
