Redefining MRI: Unleash Smart AI Solutions to Enhance Your Diagnostic Confidence and Increase Throughput

This webinar focusses on the practical benefits of Deep Learning Reconstruction on the Vantage Elan NX edition. Prof. Dr. Aliprandi and Prof. Dr. Tomczak will explain how they use Advanced intelligent Clear-IQ Engine (AiCE) in their daily routine in various anatomies, both for higher resolution as well as for reduced scan times. These experts will show how they apply it individually or in combination with other acquisition techniques.

Moderator & Speaker: Prof. Dr. Alberto Aliprandi
Head of MSK Imaging
Bernasconi Radiology Center
Seregno, Italy

Prof. Dr. Alberto Aliprandi is Head of the Radiology Service at the Zucchi Clinical Institutes, Monza, Italy and collaborates at the La Madonnina Nursing Home. He is also a radiologist contact in various professional sports clubs. Dr. Alberto Aliprandi is Adjunct Professor in the Specialization Course of Imaging Diagnostics and Radiotherapy at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Milan, and Adjunct Professor of Imaging Diagnostics and Special Radiotherapy at the same university. He also worked as a tutor in the training of Medical Residents at the University of Milan Bicocca. He is President of the section of Musculoskeletal Radiology of the Italian Society of Medical Radiology (SIRM). Finally, Dr. Alberto Aliprandi is the author of 58 publications for national and international scientific journals such as Knee Surgery, Sports Traumatology, Arthroscopy, World Journal Radiology and Medical Radiology; and is a member of the European Society of Radiology.

Presentation: Evaluation of Deep Learning Reconstruction in MSK pathologies
The Deep Learning Reconstruction technique AiCE is put to the test to evaluate structure, profiles, signal, and evidence of pathology in a clinical protocol. In addition, the presence of artifacts will be evaluated. You will see how the increased quality of the images increase the confidence in diagnosis of pathology in various anatomies like meniscus, tendons, ligaments, cartilage, and bone.

Speaker: Prof. Dr. Reinhard Tomczak
Executive director
Center for Radiology
Bad Friedrichshall, Germany

Prof. Dr. Tomczak started his medical career in the central institute of the “Bundeswehr” (German Army) in Koblenz and the universities of Ulm, Germany and the University of Florida in Gainesville, USA. Later he became chief doctor and medical director of the clinic ‘’Am Plattenwald“ in Bad Friedrichshall. Now he is acting as executive director of the “Center of Radiology’’, also in Bad Friedrichshall and three additional sites. Beside his specialization in Radiology he holds qualifications in medical informatics, emergency medicine and medical quality management.

Presentation: Artificial Intelligence tool AiCE for MRI: Is it ready for daily routine?
The Artificial Intelligence Algorithm AiCE reduces the noise level in MR imaging. Its first development was in high-resolution imaging in neuro-research. Now it is implemented on a routine MR scanner and has been tested to work in a routine environment with a broad spectrum of applications.
